In 2018, Tony Robinson and his students arrived at study visit to the May 18 Memorial Foundation. The May 18 Memorial Foundation Secretary-General Mr Lee Gi-bong provides detailed historical and background information about the May 18 Democratic Gwangju Uprising, 1980.  The Students were extremely interested in the Social Movements that change the country’s political and Governance system like the May 18 Gwangju Democratic Uprising. The Students also asked various questions about the roots of the Uprising, the spirit of the Uprising and its impact on modern democracy.  Moreover, students also asked questions about activities of the Foundation such as education, culture, exchange, and distortion of the history of the May 18 Gwangju Democratic Uprising and the May 18 Foundation, movies, taxi drivers, and democracy in Korea.
